Data, Backups & Restore Policy

Customer files

You control the files, worlds, and settings in your service. You can download files through the panel or SFTP where available. Keep your own copy of important data before changing software, installing a modpack, or ending a service.

Backups

The panel may let you create and delete server backups. A backup visible in the panel is not a guarantee that it is stored off the game node. Host Matey does not promise a recoverable off-provider copy, a fixed recovery time, or automatic failover unless the order expressly includes that commitment. Restores can replace current files; confirm the target before requesting one.

Modpacks and software changes

Installing a modpack on an existing server replaces its files and world. Host Matey does not automatically create a backup before that install. Download or create any copy you want to keep first.

Expiry and deletion

The Billing policy describes the grace, suspension, and deletion schedule. After deletion, recovery may be impossible. Backups and operational copies can remain for a limited period where needed for security, legal obligations, or a separately stated service commitment.
