Using Host Matey

These terms apply when you create a Host Matey account or order a service. The order summary states the game or VPS service, location, resources, price, term, and any choices specific to that order. Related policies on acceptable use, billing, data, and support form part of these terms.

Accounts and access

Give accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for actions taken through your account and for the people you invite to a server. Do not share your password with support.

Hosting resources

Game plans provide the RAM, storage, and network access stated at checkout. Advertised vCPU values are shared, burstable ceilings; they are not dedicated physical cores or a performance guarantee. Actual game performance depends on the software, players, world, mods, and other load. VPS customers administer their own operating system and applications unless the order expressly includes management.

Your content and software

You keep rights to the files you upload. You grant Host Matey the limited permission needed to store, transmit, back up where applicable, and process them to provide the service. You are responsible for the content, game licenses, plugins, mods, and access permissions on your server. A game publisher may impose separate terms.

Changes and interruptions

We may perform maintenance, apply security changes, or relocate a service when reasonably needed to operate it. We will use the account contact route for material service notices. We do not promise uninterrupted service unless an order expressly includes a service-level commitment.

Suspension and termination

We may restrict a service for nonpayment, abuse, a security threat, or a legal requirement. The Billing policy describes expiry and deletion timing. You may cancel through your account or contact support. Export your files before cancellation or the stated retention deadline.

Questions and disputes

Contact support with your order or service number so we can review a problem. Mandatory consumer rights under applicable law are not limited by these terms. The effective version shown on this page applies to new orders from its effective date; material changes to existing service terms will be notified through the account contact route.
